What you need

cup steel cut oats

tsp kosher salt

cup unsweetened almond milk

cup fresh fruit

cup nuts

tsp chia seed

0 Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan (with a lid). 1 Turn the heat off and add the steel cut oats and salt. Stir to combine. Put the lid on. 3 Let it sit on the kitchen counter overnight, at least 6 to 8 hours. 4 Next morning, put it back on the stove and heat over medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon to prevent it from sticking. It will thicken as it cooks. 5 For a creamy texture pour in the almond milk, while stirring constantly. 6 Cook until its consistency and texture reaches to your liking. Feel free to add in more milk if you like it to be thinner. 7 Ladle into bowls, top them off with your favorite toppings, and serve while still warm. Alternatively, you can bring it to room temperature, divide it amongst 4 mason jars, add the toppings and store in the fridge for upt o 5 days for an easy grab and go breakfast.View original recipe
